Americon Restoration of the Ohio Valley is seeking dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Contents Cleaners / Contents Restoration Technicians.

When homes or businesses experience water damage, fire damage, smoke damage, or other disasters, it’s not just the structure that’s affected, it’s the personal belongings inside. This role focuses on cleaning, packing, inventorying, and helping restore customers’ contents with care and professionalism.

The ideal candidate is organized, physically capable, team-oriented, and takes pride in helping people during stressful situations.

Key Responsibilities

Contents Handling & Cleaning

Pack out and inventory customer belongings from residential and commercial properties
Clean and restore salvageable contents affected by water, fire, smoke, soot, mold, or other damage
Safely handle furniture, electronics, household items, and specialty belongings
Wrap, label, and organize items for storage, transport, or return
Assist with contents cleaning using specialized equipment, cleaning solutions, and restoration techniques
Identify items requiring special handling or additional restoration attention

Warehouse & Inventory Management

Maintain accurate inventory records for packed and stored contents
Organize storage areas and ensure items are properly labeled and tracked
Assist with loading and unloading contents for transport
Maintain cleanliness and organization within warehouse and work areas

Job Site Support

Assist mitigation and restoration crews as needed during active projects
Support pack-back operations by returning cleaned/restored items to customers
Help document damaged contents through photos and reporting tools
Follow job instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards

Customer Service

Interact professionally and compassionately with customers experiencing stressful situations
Represent Americon positively on job sites and in customer homes/businesses
Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding project needs

Qualifications

Previous cleaning, restoration, moving, warehouse, or contents handling experience preferred (but willing to train the right person)
Ability to lift, carry, and move furniture and boxes regularly
Strong attention to detail and organization
Comfortable working in residential and commercial environments
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment
Team player with a positive attitude
Valid driver’s license preferred
Ability to follow processes, instructions, and safety guidelines
