Americon Restoration of the Ohio Valley is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing team.

As an Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in helping homeowners and businesses recover after water damage, fire damage, storm damage, mold issues, and other property disasters. You’ll inspect damage, create accurate estimates, communicate with customers and insurance partners, and help move projects smoothly from assessment to reconstruction.

Responsibilities

• Inspect residential and commercial properties for restoration and reconstruction damage
• Prepare accurate estimates for mitigation, repairs, and reconstruction work using estimating software (Xactimate preferred)
• Document scope of work with photos, notes, and supporting details
• Communicate clearly with homeowners, property managers, adjusters, and internal teams
• Review insurance claim documentation and coordinate with insurance carriers when needed
• Work closely with project managers, mitigation teams, and reconstruction staff to ensure project alignment
• Track estimate approvals, revisions, supplements, and change orders
• Assist in developing scopes for water, fire, storm, mold, and reconstruction projects
• Maintain organized job files and accurate project documentation
• Support customers through the restoration process with professionalism and empathy

Qualifications

• Previous estimating experience in restoration, construction, insurance claims, or related field preferred
• Experience with Xactimate strongly preferred
• Knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable working both in the field and in an office environment
• Experience reading insurance scopes and claim documentation is a plus
